2013 NCAA Women's Hockey Championships to Begin Saturday

The 2013 NCAA Division Women's Ice Hockey Championships get underway on Saturday with four quarterfinal matchups (national rankings and overall records listed):

No. 5 Harvard (24-6-3) @ No. 4 Boston College (26-6-3)
No. 6 Clarkson (28-9-0) @ No. 3 Boston University (26-5-3)
No. 8 Mercyhurst (28-6-1) @ No. 2 Cornell (26-5-1)

No. 7 North Dakota (26-11-1) @ No. 1 Minnesota (38-0-0)

The winners will meet in the semifinals at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis on March 22, with the Division I championship game to be played two days later.

Minnesota, the only previous NCAA champion in this year's field, is seeking its second straight national title, and fourth overall.

UPDATE: Advancing to the Frozen Four next week will be BC (3-1), BU (5-3), Mercyhurst (4-3 OT) and Minnesota (3-2, 3 OT).
