Michigan, Minnesota Off to 2022 Frozen Four

The 2022 Frozen Four for NCAA Division I men's hockey is set, and it will be an all-western affair out east, thanks to the addition of two Big Ten schools.

Michigan took an early lead on Sunday, and then held on for a 7-4 victory over Quinnipiac in the regional final in Allentown, Pa.

In Worcester, Minnesota won its first regional since 2014 when it blanked Western Michigan, 3-0.

Michigan will now take on Denver in one semifinal at TD Garden in Boston on April 7, while the other semifinal will feature Minnesota against Minnesota State.

The two semifinal winners will advance to the national title game on April 9.
