Milne Leaves Michigan for OHL

Michigan freshman forward Daniel Milne has left the Wolverines to join the Ontario Hockey League’s Owen Sound Attack, who drafted him in the third round of the 2010 OHL draft.
“Daniel Milne informed us today that he is leaving the Michigan hockey program,” Michigan coach Red Berenson said in a statement posted at USCHO.com. “While we are disappointed with his decision, it is important to note that he is leaving in good academic standing.”

Milne had gone scoreless in seven games with Michigan this season. A 5-11, 189-pound winger from Unionville, Ont., he prepped with St. Michael’s of the Ontario Junior Hockey League, with whom he posted 16 goals and 31 assists for 47 points in 38 games last year.
